Physiotherapy at Yonge & St Clair

PHYSIOS WHO LOVE PEOPLE
BUT KEEP TRYING TO FIX THEM.

Physiotherapy is both an art and science, dedicated to changing how you move and function for the better.

Your first visit to our physiotherapy clinic starts with assessment. We do a detailed musculoskeletal exam, analyzing the impact of the injury, disease, or disorder. Then together we set your goals and a treatment plan that will get you there, incorporating practices based on the best current research evidence and our clinical expertise. Our treatment interventions may include hands-on manual joint mobilization, dry needling, myofascial techniques, nerve mobilization, both active and passive stretching, and exercise therapy—a lot can happen between sessions, you will be an active participant in your treatment.
Our goal is to change your mobility and function for the better– helping you to move better, with less pain; and to get you back doing the things you love.

MIDTOWN PHYSIOTHERAPY HAS QUICKLY ESTABLISHED ITS REPUTATION AS ONE OF TORONTO'S PREMIER PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINICS.

HOW DO I KNOW IF PHYSIOTHERAPY IS RIGHT FOR ME?
If you are experiencing pain, a physiotherapist can help.

We help you get back your independence after a hip or knee replacement, or back to sport after a broken ankle or torn ACL. We help you feel loose and limber during your work day. We help you keep up with your kids in golf or tennis, or stay pain free when your grand-kids want to be carried for the rest of the hike.

We are trusted in Toronto to provide physiotherapy treatments that work, no matter the condition. Through exercise, manual therapy and other modalities, and education, we empower you and give you the confidence to get back to doing what you love.
HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS AND WHAT ARE THE FEES?
CLINIC PHYSIOTHERAPY

Initial physiotherapy assessment/treatment: $125 for 60 minutes.
This comprehensive assessment sets the stage; our physiotherapist will help you understand what you're feeling, what they'll do about it, and the expected timeline. Treatment begins during this session so please come prepared with clothing you can exercise in freely.

Follow-up physiotherapy treatment: $92 for 30 minutes.
This is our standard treatment length but we've been known to spend a bit of extra time if we think we'll see benefit. You will not find this level of dedication from another physiotherapist in Toronto.

45- and 60-minute treatment sessions also available.

HOME PHYSIOTHERAPY

The initial physiotherapy assessment and treatment is $140, and follow-up visits are $140 as well.
We typically travel anywhere along the subway lines and are proud to offer home physiotherapy away from the subway line in the following neighbourhoods: Deer Park (Yonge and St. Clair), Davisville Village, Forest Hill, Yonge and Eglinton, Lawrence Park, Mount Pleasant, Summerhill, Yorkville, Annex, and Rosedale.
IS PHYSIOTHERAPY COVERED BY MY INSURANCE PLAN OR OHIP?
Most workplace insurance plans cover physiotherapy as a claimable health expense. Please check with your insurance plan.

While physiotherapy is available using OHIP, you have to use specific OHIP clinics.
HOW DO I BOOK?
Still reading? Then maybe it's time to book your initial assessment with one of our physios. It is easy to look online and find a time that works for you.

Or if you would rather, call Shalini at (416) 792-7447.
DOES MIDTOWN PHYSIO HAVE SHOCKWAVE THERAPY?
Chronic tendinopathy can develop with the microtraumas of regular training, or even just daily life. Midtown has recently added a Shockwave machine to our therapeutic toolkit, and we have also used it treating plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and a number of sports injuries.

WE DO PHYSIOTHERAPY AT HOME TOO.

We're located at the heart of the Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood and just a short distance from Yonge and Lawrence, Yonge and Eglinton, Summerhill, and Rosedale. Everything down to our smoothie selections has been chosen to motivate you and help your recovery. Our clinic has a beautifully bright, fully-equipped gym space and private treatment rooms.

Of course if you can't make it to our clinic, we understand. And our physiotherapists are happy to work with you at home. For home physio, just ask.
